This High Temperature 1800°C induction melting furnace is a 160kw IGBT medium frequency machine designed for heavy industrial melting of 250kg copper charges and 100kg steel heats. As the largest model in the LSZ melting furnace family, the LSZ-160 provides the power, crucible volume and thermal headroom that mid sized foundries and metal processors need for serious production output. The furnace melts steel, stainless steel, copper, aluminum, gold and silver, and its IGBT inverter design keeps electricity consumption low even at these power levels. The LSZ-160 high temperature furnace is applied in copper and aluminum alloy plants producing large ingots and billets, in ferrous jobbing foundries melting 100kg steel heats for heavy castings, and in large scale precious metal refiners processing 250kg silver and gold batches. Rolling mill remelt departments use the machine to recycle process scrap, and fabrication shops melt copper for busbar and electrode production. When production grows beyond one batch per hour, several LSZ-160 furnaces can be operated side by side to create a flexible, low cost melting cell.
